I haven't been feeling well, so I haven't been as good at taking photos and documenting our fun times. I have been meaning to get on here and write done some of the funny things that Atlas has been doing lately, but I have put them off so long I can't remember most of what I wanted to write. I do remember a few funny things though.

Atlas has been pretty naughty the last few days and is getting quite the sassy attitude. He doesn't listen when we tell him to stop doing things. A few days ago Nick kept telling him to stop doing something and Atlas said "No!" So Nick says, "I am the Dad. You don't get to talk to me like that" and Atlas responds, "I am the Atlas. You don't talk to me! Capeesh!"  It was so funny, but we tired really hard not to laugh, cause he was being a little brat. It seems like every couple months he has a 3 day brat phase, so hopefully this one is about over.

One of my favorite things about Atlas is that he is very good at his manner's words. Sometimes he gets them mixed up though. Like if he sneezes, I say "bless you" and he very sweetly responds "you're welcome."

A couple days ago I was cooking and something caught fire on the stove top. Atlas was standing next to me and I said "Holy Shoot!" cause it freaked me out. Atlas ran out to Nick and said "Mom just said, HOLY SHOOT FREAKIN' DANGGIT!"

He is constantly asking about people in the family and wants to see everyone. My parents are coming to RI in a couple weeks to celebrate Atlas's birthday. We are very excited, and are also counting down to seeing everyone over the summer. It feels like it's been a really long time since I have seen everyone, but we were just there a couple months ago. Time moves very slowly for me on the East Coast.

Atlas is still obsessed with our hair. Particularly when he is drinking milk or juice. He always wants us to be close by.

New fun game: putting all the fish toys on your fingers and pretending you are a FISH ROBOT!

Atlas loves holidays. For Valentines we drew some pictures and made cookies for Nick. Atlas broke a bunch of cookies, dumped spinkles all over and squeezed the frosting bag so hard it burst. Everything is always a little frustrating with him, but we still had a good time and they tasted delicious.

This is what he got for Valentines.

This is how he likes to watch TV

Atlas dressed himself

How he likes to pick out books for bedtime

He thinks it's funny to run around while I chase him and try to take pictures of him

We've been letting him skip naps occasionally lately, which makes him really tired. I am really tired too.

Bubbles!

He loves to wear these glasses around the house

... and when he does, he reminds me of this kid.

Imagination

Atlas has quite an imagination these days. He loves to play with little action figures and make up stories and dialogue for the characters. This morning he started doing it so I jumped on here and typed out what he was saying. Here is the transcript.

He's dead?
Ya, he's dead.
He's dead? We gotta save him
And get Yoshi too
You better say you're sorry
Don't let me out!
OH NO
I can't get it out
You can't get it out to change it? The baby?
Where'd the baby go?
He's right by my princess dress
Oh, that makes me so sad, wahhhh
I don't have a baby
You don't have a baby?
No I don't have a baby
Lalalalalalalala
It's not rude, you got to say you're sorry
sorry
don't do that, that's rude
I think it's changing
Hahahaha
Mario, Hey princess peach did you step in it?
No I just lalalala a baby?
You just lalalalala a baby?
I'm going to put you in your room, stay here, don't move
I got it, hahahahaha
Oh no, I fall down, ahhhhhh!
Dun dun dun dun dun
Thank You
I have something on a boat

That's all I got today, cause shortly after that line I noticed he needed to be changed. Sometimes these little stories can last up to a half an hour. Someone always needs to be saved, and someone always gets sent to time out. They are pretty hilarious to listen to. Also, today Altas is calling me honey. He just said to me "Can you get me these stickers, honey?" And he has started using the word capeesh. "Hey mom, I want soda, capeesh?" Like he's a little mafia member or something. He genuinely cracks us up everyday with the weird things he says and his maniacal laughter.
