Sometimes your kid goes to bed looking normal, but wakes up like this.

Family Fun Fest!

Prezley came to visit and we went to St Louis to see the city Museum. It was crazy, and wonderful.

We also went to the St louis Museum of COntemporary art, but it was sort of sparse.

Yesterday Atlas had a field trip. We went to a farm.

My hair turned purple. It was weird.

The kids loved the hay maze.

Atlas's new favorite thing- hiding in the pantry, watching Netflix and munching on cereal.

Everything was going smoothly on the home front at the beginning of last week. Atlas had his normal cough that all his doctors say is normal and he will grow out of it, but it got a little worse, and then spread to Cosby

I called the pediatrician Wednesday around 4pm hoping to schedule an appointment for the following day. I mentioned he was breathing faster than normal and the nurse had me count his breaths while she timed them. When I told her how many breaths she took she told me to bring him in immediately. Once there, she found a rash, of small burst blood vessels on his trunk and had us admitted to the hospital.

After a chest x-ray and monitoring his blood oxygen all night they decided it was walking pneumonia and put him on a strong antibiotic.

He was really cuddly and tired for a few days after.  He's always a snuggle bug, but this was ultra cuddling everything time.

On Sunday a little boy fell off the pew at church and got 6 staples in his head. His Dad is Nick's home teaching companion, and they went out and taught that day. Nick got home and told me about Noah's staples. A couple hours after that it was bedtime and Atlas slipped going down the stairs and started bleeding a lot of blood.

For how much it bled I was surprised once they cleaned it up that the wound was only about and inch. He got 4 staples. He had a headache for a few days, and nightmares, but he seems back to normal now and just wants to get the staples out.

We've been taking it slow this week, recuperating. I still don't feel myself either, but am starting to feel a little better. Or maybe I am just telling myself that because I can't afford another Dr appt. Luckily these boys are covered or we would be totally broke after that weekend.

Atlas and Cosby like each other more everyday. On Wednesday we went to the park and walked on a cool trail out here called the Katy trail.

The stagnant water doesn't smell quite as nice as the Atlantic ocean, but Atlas had fun throwing rocks regardless.

And we got to race through cool tunnels.

Cosby is constantly smirking. He walks like a gorilla and is so fun and sweet.

Oh, and last week on Wednesday, shortly before heading to the hospital I went with Atlas's preschool class on a trip to the fire department.

I think he is trying to be Dracula here. We finally bought him Hotel Transylvania, cause he has begged for it since last year when it came out. He's currently all about vampires, mummies, ghosts etc. Just in time for Halloween I guess.

This is his best bud, Wilson.

I bought myself an early birthday present today of 6 gallons of paint. Hopefully while I am listening to conference I can get some more housework done. It's all coming along very slowly. I let Atlas pick out his own colors for his room and he's excited. The man making the paint today asked if I was painting a rainbow. Sort of, I sort of am.
